Yes we have one. Yes we love it. For all intense and purpose the NutriBullet is a pretty awesome piece of hardware and valuable piece in your nutrition arsenal.
The idea of the NutriBullet is to destroy anything you put in it, to create smoothies, deserts, even juices. I have been using ours almost every morning for my breakfast smoothies and I have used it to make those green juices that taste like freshly mowed grass. (I very quickly learned to put half an apple in my green juice to take away the face wincing taste).
The bullet is quite loud; actually it’s really loud. But because it pulverises the food so quickly, I can forgive the racket that makes my walls shake at 6:30am in the morning and because of the design of the machine the noise last for all of a few seconds.
I love my breakfast smoothies because they’re healthy and fill me up without giving me that bloated feeling. Also, they take care of any sweet craving I may have during the day.
NutriBullet Favourite Recipes
Vanilla
- 30gms vanilla protein powder
- ½ a banana
- sml handful of berries
- 2tbsp of LSA mix (Linseed, sunflower seed & almond meal)
- Half measure water
- Half measure milk
Chocolate
- 30gms chocolate protein powder
- 1 Banana
- 2tbsp rolled oats
- ½ measure water
- ½ measure milk
- 2tsp of low sugar low sodium peanut butter
Vegetable #1
Even amounts of:
- Celery
- Zucchini
- Cucumber
- Spinich
- Top up to the line with cold water
Vegetable #2
Even amounts of:
- Orange, (I use navels because they’re sweeter)
- Carrot
- Beetroot
- Spinich
- Top up to the line with cold water
There is no restriction to the kind of protein powder you can use and of course you can swap out ingredients. I have been using Bare Blends protein as there is next to no carbs, sugar or fat and the flavours are beautiful. The only limitation is your own imagination. These recipes are just the tip of the iceberg. The NutriBullet comes with a recipe book for help.
